Grinding wheel is resin bond abrasive wheel. Generally, there are 4-16inch cutting disc and grinding wheel in the market. The thickness can be 1-7mm. Cutting disc uses its excircle to cut metal or non-metal materials, while grinding wheel used its surface to grinding the workpiece.
Here I want to show you 180*3mm grinding wheel. This 180mm grinding wheel with black paper is to make the wheel looks better.

 

180*3*22.2mm grinding wheel, T42 type, it is used to grind the surface of stainless steel or metal materials. And it can not only used for cutting, but also used for grinding materials.
Fiberglass net used in grinding wheel is to improve the strength. And the black paper on the grinding wheel is to make the disc look better. Except black paper, it can also made from non-woven in its back.
